Walking Distance to Everything You Need
Whalers Cove Resort is located along the coast of the sunny resort town of Koloa. The fully furnished condos, ocean-view patios and private pool provide all you need to relax in paradise right within the pristine coastal property.
if you do decide to leave the resort, there’s plenty to discover within walking distance. Within a ten-minute walk, Whalers Cove residents can enjoy some of the best shopping, dining and beaches the island Kauai has to offer.
Beaches
Sea lovers will delight at the fact that every property at Whalers Cove is ocean-side. Residents can hear the crashing of the waves from their patios and fall asleep to the lull of the swell. And both the blue pool and the green lawn in the back are just steps from the ocean.
But if you want to lay your towel on a pristine sandy beach, you can do that too! Walking a mere three minutes around the corner takes you to Kauai’s beautiful Baby Beach.
Named for its calm waters, Baby Beach is an ideal place for swimming and sunbathing. Adults and children alike will find joy wading through the teal waters of the little cove. As an added bonus, this hidden gem typically doesn’t have the same crowds as some of the other big-name beaches in Kauai.
If you’re looking for an outdoor adventure, head about ten minutes past Baby Beach up the road to Lawai Beach for fantastic snorkeling! The Whalers Cove Resort front desk staff can get you outfitted with snorkeling gear for the day. Enter the beach from the sand, but watch out for rocks as you’re getting in. The reef sits about 500 feet out from the sand, which is as far out as you’ll want to go. The best spot to see sea life is near the rocks beside the Beach House restaurant, where the depth ranges from 3 to 15 feet. Keep your eyes peeled for tropical fish and sea turtles!
Always exercise caution when planning a day at any Kauai beach. Please be mindful of swell, currents and the strength of the sun.
