Kauai Hiking Trails

Kauai features some of the finest hiking in Hawaii. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or an amateur looking to explore, we have a hike for you!

Koke and Waimea State Park are two stunning locations that make a hikers dream come true. With countless trails to offer, these parks present valleys, cliffs and breathtaking ocean views. The parks are adjacent to each other and have Kauai hiking trails perfect for your next outdoor adventure.

Near our Kaui oceanfront condos, the Maha’ulepu Trail is perfect for a relaxing morning hike. Maha’ulepu Trail is an easy 2 mile coastline trail covered with geological treasures and miles of gorgeous undeveloped coast. For a more adventurous trail, try the Canyon Trail into the stunning Waimea Canyon, named the “Grand Canyon of The Pacific” by Mark Twain. Located inside Koke’e State Park, this moderate hike is popular for families.

Other options include Waipo’o Falls, a 3.6 miles round-trip that is a must see. For the hiking extraordinaire, the Kalalau Trail is a strenuous 11 mile adventure into paradise. Waterfalls, sea caves, breathtaking valleys and gorgeous vistas can all be seen on this unforgettable trail. Guests will need to verify safety and conditions with Kokee Lodge or PBRA beforehand.
