We are located on the ocean. However, we are not beachfront.

We are about a mile from the famous Poipu Beach Park with ample parking, showers and lifeguards. Baby Beach is a very small beach just a short walking distance from the resort.

We don’t allow any glassware leading up to and in the pool area. Each condo has a large selection of plastic items. Children under the age of 12 are not allowed in the heated spa. Floatation devices are not allowed. The entire pool area is non-smoking.

Since we are located on the ocean, we have beautiful trade breezes. In addition, each condo has ceiling fans in all rooms and the front desk has additional portable floor fans, if needed. As a result, we do not have air conditioning.

We recommend that you rent a car during your stay because the island is rural and the bus system is sparse. We have a discount program with AVIS for each booking. The island of Kauai also offers taxi service.

For bookings made directly through the front desk, we have an assortment of items for the beach including chairs, coolers, umbrellas and some snorkel gear. We even have boogie boards.

Kukuiula Shopping Village is within walking distance offering numerous world-class dining and shopping choices including Lappert’s, Bubba’s, Meriman’s, Eathing House, Tortilla Republic, Living Foods & The Lanai, Quiksilver, Tommy Bahamas, Maile, Mahina and many more

No. Both pools are available to guests staying at Whalers Cove Resort between the hours of 8:00am and 10:O0pm, 7 days a week.

Both are available upon request, but not guaranteed. These requests are subject to fees. If your departure flight is late, we strongly suggest booking your condo for one more day. This way you can fully enjoy your last day, have a nice dinner, shower and report to your flight refreshed. We can hold your bags free of charge in the lobby until 5:00pm.

We have portable pack ‘n plays and highchairs.

We do take requests for specific locations, i.e. floor and building. However, we cannot guarantee these requests. We will make every effort to put guests where they would be most comfortable.

We can pre-stock your condo upon arrival. Email your personal list to the front desk. We’ll add a nominal fee of 20% of your total grocery bill. Please submit your list 72 hours prior to arrival.

Usually, the days start and end early at Whalers Cove Resort. There are many outdoor activities like water sports, cruises, hiking, ATV, horseback and ziplining, so most of the action takes place while the sun is up. You will find a few live music options at Kukuiula and Poipu Shopping Villages as well as Friday nights in Hanapape during the Art Walk.

No. Our condos are individually owned so you do not have to sit through long or boring presentations.

Yes, a nightly resort fee of $15 is applied to all bookings and includes WiFi, newspapers and coffee service in the lobby as well as on-site parking.

Our cleaning and disinfecting procedures adhere to CDC and health department standards and all of our staff have been trained on the proper use of cleaning products and processes. We have implemented enhanced cleaning protocols in common areas of the resort as well as in our rooms. Additionally, we have made hand sanitizers available around our property for your use.
