Thoughts on Our Poipu Condos

See what makes our guests return again and again to our Kauai condo rentals. If you’re looking for a relaxing, scenic, and private Hawaii escape Whalers Cove Resort is a top spot.

"So glad we found this place to stay in Kauai! Loved our 5 nights here in Condo #124. The view was amazing, looked out one morning to see dolphins and a whale cruise on by. Had everything you need without the noise etc. of some resorts. Was great to be able to cook up our own meals with some of the great local produce. The swimming pool and Jacuzzi were great to cool down in after a day exploring this beautiful island. Mahalo to all the staff here, hopefully we will come back one day."

"When I walked into our 2 bedroom unit, all I could say was 'WOW'. The place was large, beautifully decorated, a well-stocked kitchen, and spotless housekeeping. The topper was the sweeping ocean view and vast lanai perfect for enjoying that glass of wine while watching turtles swim by as the sun set or a cup of coffee in the morning. Hearing the ocean at night was a perfect way to fall asleep after a long day of sight-seeing.
The resort is very private and quiet with tropical landscaping and a relaxing pool and Jacuzzi, so unlike the noisier larger resorts. Just a perfect quiet retreat. It is located just a few minutes from restaurants, shopping, and a swimming beach. There's also skin diving in the adjacent cove. Manager Marianne and staff were so helpful with local knowledge and brought the aloha to our Kauai visit. Mahalo for a wonderful vacation."

"Whaler's Cove was the most wonderful place to stay on Kauai. I have been to the Islands twelve times and this was by far the nicest place I have ever stayed. The view was outstanding, the staff very friendly and helpful, the condo was beautiful and the location was perfect to explore the island. Poipu beach was only a short drive away and we found the best snorkeling was right there. I could watch the turtles swim as I took my shower each morning! We will be back!"

"Our stay at Whaler’s Cove in September was the best part of the vacation. The view from our suite confirmed we were in paradise. The resort is unique and special in its location, the southernmost point of Kauai. It is overlooking Hanaka’ape Bay where you can see waves crashing on the rocks, scuba dive from Koloa Landing, one of the most popular diving sites, and watch local fisherman throwing their lines from the rocks.
The infinity pool with its lava rock shower and coconut trees make for a perfect respite from traffic and the fast-pace of life and work. It is a sanctuary for reading, swimming, and just plain relaxing. The large lanai off the master bedroom and living room is spacious enough for a table, chaise and lanai chairs, and could easily accommodate 15 or more people. With a full-size kitchen, dining table, Jacuzzi bathtub, and flat screen TV, you couldn’t ask for anything more. Kukui’ula Village, walking distance from Whaler’s Cove, has an "Old Hawaii" feel with fantastic restaurants, shops, farmers market, and shave ice!; or walk to a secluded beach just down the road. We will definitely return and stay at the Whaler’s Cove Resort for the sunsets, orchid garden, location, friendly and accommodating on-site staff, and luxurious suites– a gem in paradise!"

"We don't know if just being on the island of Kaua'i made everything perfect; but staying at Whaler's Cove sealed the deal! Our family of five stayed for a week. Our boys are 18, 20, 22 yrs old and we are a very active family. Our location was great on the island because we could explore the many different parts of Kaua'i easily. We left for the day on an "adventure" and returned to our condo around dinner time. If we were going out to eat, we could walk to a shopping mall area with plenty of restaurants. If we ate in, we could grill or order out. Either way, we usually stopped by the pool for a quick swim or cocktail in the hot tub. Beautiful pool area! And what a finish to a physically exhausted body due to the activities available on the island. Our condo inside was decorated with a Polynesian feel and was very clean and accommodating. The staff provided just about anything we needed with a super friendly attitude."
